GTA Move-Out Cleaning Checklist
A move-out clean is an empty-home job. Fresh Start Cleaning books them across Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and the rest of the GTA once the movers are out. A regular maintenance visit will not cover the inside of the oven or the dust line where the sofa stood. Use this list to see what the visit includes, and what you still need to remove yourself.
Book it after the truck, not before
If boxes are still in the rooms, we clean around them and the floor never gets a real pass. The right window is the hour the unit is empty, with power and water still on. A two-bedroom often takes most of a morning. Larger houses in Vaughan or Oakville need a longer block. Tell us if the elevator has to be reserved. Some condo boards want that booked by the resident, not by the cleaners.
Kitchen checklist
- Inside the oven and the oven door glass, if it can be cleaned without scraping.
- Inside the fridge and freezer, once they are empty and unplugged or left running as you prefer.
- Stovetop, backsplash, and the outside of the dishwasher and cabinets.
- Inside emptied cupboards and drawers. Food crumbs in a corner cupboard are a common walkthrough note.
- Sink, faucet, and the floor, including the kickplate under the cabinets.
Bathrooms, floors, and closets
- Toilets, tubs, showers, and the tracks if they are not packed with caulk failure. Tracks get a proper clean. Missing caulk is a repair, not a clean.
- Mirrors, vanities, and the inside of the medicine cabinet if it is empty.
- Floors vacuumed and washed, including behind where furniture used to sit.
- Closet floors and shelves. Hangers left behind are yours to take. We do not haul a lease's worth of leftovers.
- Light switches, door edges, and light fixtures within reach.
What this clean will not fix
Nail holes, broken blinds, and stains baked into a carpet from years of use are not cleaning. Paint flecks that need a razor are not cleaning either. If the place was renovated and is full of drywall dust, book post-renovation cleaning instead of a move-out. If you are staying and just want the week handled, a recurring home clean is the cheaper rhythm.
For a condo, send the concierge details with the booking. The Toronto condo cleaning guide covers lobby access so the crew is not waiting downstairs while the clock runs.
A move-out for a typical two-bedroom starts around $349 before HST, with the oven and fridge included. Your number moves with bedrooms, bathrooms, and how long the place sat empty.
