Commercial Office Cleaning in the GTA
Fresh Start Cleaning handles commercial cleaning for small workplaces across the Greater Toronto Area: offices, clinics, studios, and street-level shops. The useful version of this job happens after close, so staff are not stepping around a vacuum at 10 a.m.
What a commercial visit actually covers
A standard office clean is not a home clean with different words. We do not rearrange paper, open drawers, or decide which mug is garbage. The visit is built around the rooms everyone shares.
- Washrooms: fixtures, mirrors, floors, and a restock note if supplies are out.
- Kitchenette: counters, sink, the outside of the fridge and microwave, and the coffee ring on the table.
- Floors: vacuum and wash of the walked paths, not a pile of sample boxes you asked us to leave.
- Entry glass on the inside, and trash and recycling taken to the bin you name.
- Dust on open desks and sills. Stacks of documents stay where you left them.
A small studio often starts around $180 before HST. A clinic with several treatment rooms, or an office with more washrooms, takes longer. The booking form asks for work areas and bathrooms so the range is not a guess.
How often commercial rooms need it
Patient-facing clinics in Markham, midtown Toronto, and Mississauga usually want two or more visits a week, sometimes nightly on the rooms used all day. A four-person studio can live with one weekly clean if the kitchen is not a second cafeteria. A shop that sees foot traffic all Saturday may want a Sunday reset on request.
If the washroom is the complaint, do not buy a full nightly contract to solve it. Tell us that, and we weight the visit toward washrooms and the entry instead of dusting a closed boardroom.
Access, alarms, and building rules
Commercial buildings in the GTA are picky in a specific way. Some want a certificate of insurance before the first night. Some want the crew named at the security desk. Downtown towers may charge for after-hours freight elevator use. We flag a paid lot or a loading bay before the visit, not on the invoice after.
Alarm codes and keys stay with the people on that visit. If the code changes, send it before we leave the previous job, not when we are standing at a dark door in Vaughan.
What commercial cleaning is not
We do not do biohazard cleanup, mold remediation, or exterior window work above the first floor. We do not haul construction waste. A post-renovation tidy, once the trades are gone and the floors are in, is a separate booking under after a renovation. It applies to offices as well as homes.
If you also want the apartment above the shop cleaned, that is residential work on its own schedule. The guide to how often a GTA home should be cleaned covers that half of the business.
